How do I mount a Digi-Scale?
Model 10:
The readhead is mounted stationary via three holes in its housing .
The scale is attached to the moving part of the apparatus, and slides through the readhead. Model 10 comes with a connector link to mount the scale to your moving
apparatus.
This link acts like a shear pin in the event the scale and readhead are
not properly aligned. The digital display may be mounted wherever
is convenient for viewing (the readhead's cable is 72" long).
Model 20:
The scale may be drilled at each end for mounting bolts, or drilled and
countersunk along its length for mounting bolts, mounted with foam tape,
or mounted with Velcro.
Model 20 comes with a guide clip that is used to move
the readhead. The guide clip attaches to the moving part of
the apparatus, and is designed to automatically release if the readhead
motion is blocked. The digital display may be mounted wherever is
convenient for viewing.
